After a day out, I’m in, checking my email … waiting for the radiator to warm up my room … so I can take a shower.  When suddenly out at the back alley there is the little neighbor boy, four feet tall, struggling to manage a big black umbrella and two little dogs on a single split-leash.  Handle of umbrella wedged under his chin, dogs running ahead, umbrella wrenching itself away and landing open on its back.  Resigned, he dropped the leash on the ground, stepped on it, unzipped his fly, and peed on the side of the alley with a most determined and unselfconscious vigor.  I laughed out loud, seeing him scurry off.  There is much to love in this world.
